2016 Trauma Center Finance Study: Extended until Dec. 2nd - Please Participate!

TCAA’s most sought after data is the study Trauma Charges and Collections.  Participate now in the Trauma Center Finance and benchmark your facility against others in the country on pertinent data including codes, charges, collections and reimbursement.  The data compiled will result in a report sorted by region, national, and trauma center designation level.  TCAA members are encouraged to participate so the results are complete and comprehensive resulting in a valid study. Please complete and return to TCAA by December 2, 2016.

Review the attached questions before completing the Trauma Center Finance Study on Survey Monkey.  If you do not have the information necessary to complete the form in its entirety, please forward it to the appropriate person(s) in your organization.

Reports generated from the information collected are not identified by source. Results will be aggregated and disseminated in a general report to TCAA members only.


In accordance with sections 1861(s)(2)(F) and 1834(r) of the Act, as amended by sections 808(a) and 808(b), respectively, of the TPEA, CMS will provide coverage and payment for renal dialysis services furnished on or after January 1, 2017 by an ESRD facility to an individual with AKI.  Under the law, the payment will be the amount of the ESRD PPS base rate, as adjusted by the wage index.  CMS is finalizing that drugs, biologicals, laboratory services, and supplies that ESRD facilities are certified to furnish, but that are not renal dialysis services, may be paid for separately when furnished to individuals with AKI.

Trauma Center Association of America (TCAA) is updating our invoicing procedure effective April, 2016. TCAA is moving to a January to December calendar year fee schedule.  We feel this dues schedule will help streamline our accounting process and provide a better system of organization for our members.  We will be pro-rating your 2016 membership dues accordingly.
