The House returns Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. after a weeklong Thanksgiving break to consider a number of bills under suspension of the rules, including bills to reauthorize earthquake hazard reduction and the renew Coast Guard funding. On Friday, the chamber will consider H.R. 6753, the Healthcare Fraud Prevention Partnership, a voluntary public-private effort to combat fraud through data and information sharing. The House will also consider the Senate-passed version of H.R. 2422, the Action for Dental Health Act of 2018, which would provide grants to improve oral health and reauthorize HRSA grants to states for innovative dental health programs.

The Senate returns today for the final three weeks of the 2018 session. GOP leader Mitch McConnell has a lot to get done, including averting a partial government shutdown when some spending bills expire on December 7. The focus on the floor this week will be on confirming five top Trump nominees, including Kathleen Kraninger to be director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and Karen Dunn Kelley to be Deputy Secretary of Commerce.
