Stakeholder Comment Website:
The ACS Committee on Trauma (COT) is very pleased to open a new online stakeholder comment process for the 2014 standards published in the Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient. The ACS COT seeks your participation in its goal to review and assess trauma center criteria on an ongoing basis to ensure appropriateness, timeliness, and practicality.
Please note that you may comment on some or all standards within the chapter. You may provide feedback on just one chapter, or all chapters.
We ask that you place your initial focus on Chapter 16, Performance Improvement and Patient Safety, as this is the first chapter that will be reviewed. We would appreciate your comments on this chapter by February 24, 2017.
Your responses will be held in confidence, and will be used to strengthen ACS COT processes and standards. Thank you very much for joining our efforts to support and advance trauma care.
If you have any questions about the revision process, please contact PIPS@facs.org.
We hope you find the Verification Change Log and the Clarification Document helpful in preparing for your verification/consultation review. If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at Cotvrc@facs.org.
